The Only Law East of the Mississippi

Judge Roy Bean described himself as "the only law west of the Pecos" and routinely used his six-shooter as a gavel.  He is alive and well in Wisconsin, according to Daniel Brice in a JS Online article, a Circuit Judge is seeking a judicial ethics advisory opinion on whether judges can carry a concealed weapon in the courthouse.

If the advisory opinion finds that judges can carry a concealed weapon I urge the author to specifically exempt the seven justices of the Wisconsin Supreme Court from the effect of the adviosry opinion otherwise their conferences could become bloody.
